Objective (expected results of study and acquired competences)
The lab will allow students to work directly with nanoelectronic devices and systems, thus to understand and apply what they have learned in the Nanoelectronics and Nanotechnology courses.
In the praktikum it will be possible to work on a special nano-project, selected from a list of topics covering both experimental and/or computational topics. Among them: Electronic, optical, transport properties of nanostructures; Quantum semiconductor devices; Fabrication and characterization techniques of nanotechnology; Molecular electronics and optoelectronics; Organic materials for electronics: self-assembled monolayers; conducting polymers; carbon nanotubes. Circuit implementations and architectures for nanostructures.
Previous knowledge expected
For Bachelor EI students the following modules should be passed before taking the course:
- Physik für Elektroingenieure
- Werkstoffe der Elektrotechnik
- Elektronische Bauelemente
The following literature is required:
Literature concerning the current lab topic will be provided by the tutor. Additional reading material and useful web sources will be provided to the students by a sharepoint system.
