NIM Winter School 2016
on March 13-18, 2016,
at Kirchberg, Austria
The multidisciplinary winter school of the Nanosystems Initiative Munich (NIM) will be held
at Hotel Alpenhof, Kirchberg, Austria
from March 13 - 18, 2016.
The school is intended to bring together young researchers of the Cluster of Excellence NIM with experienced scientists from the fields of physics, biophysics, physical chemistry, biochemistry, biology, electrical engineering, pharmacy and medicine.
The talks and tutorials of the school are intended to give the graduate students of NIM an overview of current research topics on nanometer-scale science.
As experienced at former winter schools, the informal, enchanting surroundings of the Tyrolean Alps will stimulate discussions between speakers and participants.
The Winter School will cover all main research topics of NIM, referring to the five research areas:
- Quantum Nanophysics
- Hybrid Nanosystems
- Nanosystems for Energy Conversion
- Biomolecular Nanosystems
- Biomedical Nanotechnologies
The audience will be composed of graduate students and post-doc researchers from physics, chemistry, biochemistry and life sciences.
